What cannabinoids are in Pinnacle Hemp flower?
Pinnacle’s flower is THCA-rich hemp (typically 20–33% THCA) with only trace (≤0.3%) Δ⁹-THC. In other words, they contain the non-psychoactive THCA acid which converts to active THC only when heated. Other cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, etc.) are usually present only in trace amounts.
All products comply with the 2018 Farm Bill (<0.3% Δ⁹-THC by weight). For example, Pink Sorbet and Monster Cookies test ~31–33% THCA while many strains are in the mid-20s%. The advertised potency is the THCA percentage; the actual psychoactive THC yield after decarboxylation is roughly THCA×0.877 (see below).
How do I interpret Pinnacle Hemp’s lab results (COAs)?
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a third-party lab report showing the flower’s content. It lists each cannabinoid (e.g. THCA, Δ⁹-THC, CBD, etc.) by percent and contaminants tested. On the COA, the Δ⁹-THC row must be ≤0.3% (federal hemp limit). THCA is usually much higher (e.g. 20+%), which is legal since it’s non-intoxicating until heated.
The COA also shows terpene levels (aroma/flavor compounds) and screens for pesticides, heavy metals, molds, etc.
A useful tip: “Total THC” is a calculated number (= THCA×0.877 + Δ⁹-THC) that estimates the maximum active THC after heating. In short, read the lab’s values for THCA and Δ⁹-THC (and other listed cannabinoids), check the “Total THC” formula, and confirm all contaminant results are “Pass.”
What does “Total THC” mean on a COA?
“Total THC” (or “Total Potential THC”) is a calculated figure that estimates how much active THC would result when the THCA is fully decarboxylated (heated).
Labs use the standard formula: Total THC = (THCA × 0.877) + Δ⁹-THC. The factor 0.877 accounts for the molecular weight loss when THCA converts to THC.
For example, a flower with 30% THCA and 0.1% Δ⁹-THC would show about 26.4% Total THC (30×0.877 + 0.1). When comparing products, look at the Total THC number as a measure of potential potency, rather than raw Δ⁹-THC (which will be near zero in legal hemp).
How potent is Pinnacle Hemp flower, and how do I dose it?
Pinnacle’s flower is quite potent (many strains mid-20% THCA, top strains ~30%+). Because THCA turns into THC when consumed, even a few milligrams can be active.
Beginners should “start low, go slow.” A typical starting dose is about 1–2.5 mg of active compound (THC equivalent). For a 20% THCA flower, 1 mg THC = ~5 mg dry flower, so one might take only a small pinch initially. Wait at least 2–4 hours before taking more.
Regular users often require 5–10+ mg to feel an effect. When smoking or vaping, a practical approach is 2–3 small puffs, then wait ~15–30 minutes to gauge the effect. If using raw flower (e.g. juicing), much higher amounts (10–50 mg THCA) may be used since it remains non-psychoactive. Always adjust slowly and see how your body reacts.
How can I consume hemp flower?
Pinnacle’s THCA flower is intended primarily for smoking or vaping, which heats the THCA into active THC for the classic effects. You can roll it into joints, use a pipe/bong, or vape it in a dry-herb vaporizer.
Edibles are possible but require decarboxylation (heating) to activate the THCA – for example, one could bake it into oil or butter, but dosing becomes more like standard cannabis edibles. Some people also consume raw hemp flower (e.g. juicing) for non-intoxicating health benefits. In summary: smoking or vaping yields immediate effects; edibles/vaping onset is slower. Always follow the “start low, go slow” rule and allow time (15+ minutes for inhalation, 1–2 hours for edibles) before redosing.
How strong are the effects and what side effects should I expect?
When heated, THCA converts to THC and can produce the same effects as cannabis THC: euphoria, appetite increase, mild sedation or sleepiness in higher doses, etc. Common side effects (as with any THC) include dry mouth, dry/red eyes, dizziness, drowsiness, and sometimes anxiety or racing heart in sensitive individuals.
Because Pinnacle’s products are high-potency, start with a low dose. If you are new to cannabis-like products or have medical conditions or are taking medications, consult with a doctor before consuming.
Safety tip: Never drive or operate machinery after consuming THC products, and keep all hemp products out of reach of children.
Are there allergens, pesticides, or contaminants in the flower?
Pinnacle Hemp flower undergoes comprehensive third-party testing. Each batch’s COA will show that it is free of contaminants. The lab screens include pesticide residue, heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury), microbial contaminants (mold, E. coli, Salmonella, etc.), and residual solvents (for extracts).
All tests must “Pass” stringent safety limits. In practice, this means Pinnacle’s flower meets high safety standards. There are no common allergens inherently in hemp (aside from rare plant allergies), but the COA ensures no unsafe pesticide or chemical levels. The COAs are generally available on each product page for transparency.
How should I store hemp flower, and what is its shelf life?
Store hemp flower in a cool, dark place in an airtight, light-proof container (like a glass jar) to preserve freshness and potency. Avoid heat, humidity, and sunlight.
Properly cured hemp can last 6–12 months at high quality; over time cannabinoids can degrade and terpenes can fade, but it remains usable for a year or two if well-stored. For best taste and effect, consume it within a year of purchase.
Is Pinnacle Hemp flower legal to buy and ship?
Yes. Pinnacle’s flower is derived from industrial hemp and comply with the 2018 Farm Bill (Δ⁹-THC ≤0.3% by dry weight). This makes them legal federally and in most U.S. states. Always check your state laws.
How long does shipping take and what are the costs?
Orders are processed in 1–2 business days. U.S. shipping options include Standard (2–5 days) and Expedited (1–3 days). Shipping cost is calculated at checkout, and orders over $100 ship free (within the U.S.). Once shipped, Pinnacle will email you a tracking number.
