What is THCA?
THCA is also found in hemp. On its own, it’s not intoxicating. If you heat it—like by smoking or vaping—it can become active. Many people enjoy THCA flower for this reason.
What's the deal with THCA Flower and the “0.3%” rule?
Some people think the 0.3% number means how strong the flower is. It doesn’t.
That number just tells the government how much Delta-9 THC is in the product. It’s not about how it affects you.
What’s the real strength?
THCA flower is tested just like dispensary flower. Most of our strains have 18%–32% THCA, which is what really matters when it comes to effects. When heated, THCA turns into Delta-9 THC—just like the stuff at dispensaries.
So even though it’s federally legal (because it contains less than 0.3% Delta-9), it can still be just as strong.
Is THCA the same as THC?
No. THCA is the raw, natural form. It only becomes active when you heat it. If you don’t heat it, it stays non-psychoactive.
What does “0.3% Delta-9 THC” mean?
In the raw cannabis plant, Delta-9 THC levels are very low—usually between 0.1% and 5%. But here’s the important part:
- That number doesn’t include THCA, which is the main compound that turns into THC when you heat it.
- It also doesn’t tell you how strong the flower is.
What’s the difference between hemp and marijuana—and what makes cannabis flower strong?
The main legal difference is the amount of Delta-9 THC in the plant:
-
If it has less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC, it’s classified as hemp.
-
If it has more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC, it’s classified as marijuana and is only legal in licensed dispensaries in certain states.
But when it comes to potency, that’s not about the Delta-9 number on the label.
Most of the strength comes from THCA, which turns into Delta-9 THC when heated (like when smoking or vaping). That’s what really affects how the flower makes you feel—not the tiny Delta-9 THC amount listed for legality.
So no matter if it’s called hemp or marijuana, THCA is what tells you how strong the flower really is.
Are Pinnacle Hemp products legal?
Yes. All our products follow the 2018 Farm Bill. That means they come from legal hemp and have less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Everything we sell meets that rule.
Do I need a medical card to buy THCA flower?
Nope! You do not need a medical card.
Because our THCA flower is classified as hemp and contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC, it’s legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. That means we can legally ship it across state lines—even if you don’t live in a medical or recreational cannabis state.
So yes, you can order it online and have it shipped right to your door, no medical card required.
What if my state has laws about Hemp/THCA?
We get it—THCA laws can be confusing. Here’s what we can tell you:
- Our THCA flower is sold and distributed in Missouri, where it is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. We legally ship it across state lines through interstate commerce, which is protected under federal law.
- However, once the product arrives in your state, you are responsible for knowing your local hemp/THCA possession laws.
- Some states may have rules about possessing or using hemp/THCA products, even if buying and shipping them is federally legal.
Can you ship to my state?
In most cases, yes—we ship to nearly all U.S. states.

Will your products make me feel high?
-
CBD will not make you feel high.
-
THCA products might if you heat them. Always start small and know how your body reacts.
Do you test your products?
Will THCA show up on a drug test?
It might. Heating THCA can turn it into THC, which may show up on tests. If you’re tested, use caution.
Can I travel with THCA?
Maybe. THCA is legal under federal law, but state laws are different. Always check the rules where you’re going.
